I wanted to thank everyone who has kept my great-nephew and the rest of my family in their thoughts and prayers.  It has been a difficult time for us.  Waiting is not our strong suit.

I have two happy things to report. 

Although Ben is a very sick little baby right now, the doctors feel the surgery was very successful and he should recover nicely.  He had the surgery yesterday morning and they already removed him from some of the equipment so he is ahead of schedule.  Once he is healed, we will be free to deal with any difficulties which may arise from the Downs Syndrome instead of worrying about whether he heart will fail.  So now we can move forward instead of being caught in a time warp.

The other good news is that my nephew Gregg, who many of you know, and his wife, Brooke are expecting their second child in early April.
